125キーラ・ナイトレイ、「映画『パイレーツ』シリーズは人生で貴重な経験だった！」

キーラ・ナイトレイ（26歳）が、代表作『パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン』シリーズや新作映画について＜PopEater＞に語った。
まずは『パイレーツ』シリーズから。キーラは、「シリーズ2作目（2006年の『パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン/デッドマンズ・チェスト』）を撮影していたとき、これは自分の代表作になると思ったわ。このシリーズは17歳のときに初めて参加して、（2007年公開のシリーズ3作目『パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン/ワールド・エンド』をもって）22歳で卒業したの。だから、私の人生でかなり重要な部分を占めていたし、本当にすごい経験だった。だけど、もう一度やりたいとは考えていなかったわ」と告白している。
お次は、米国で現在公開中（日本では年内公開予定）の恋愛映画『Last Night』。キーラは同作で、夫婦の絆を試される妻ジョアンナを好演している。サム・ワーシントン演じる夫が出張中にエヴァ・メンデス演じる女性の誘惑にあっている頃、キーラもギョーム・カネ演じる元カレと再会し、心が揺れるというストーリーだ。
同作のような経験をしたことはあるかと尋ねたところ、キーラは「絶対に答えないわよ！」とキッパリ。「年を重ねて経験を積むことで、登場人物の視点に立てると思うの。この映画のストーリーは魅力的だし、誰が正しくて誰が悪いっていうモラルを強いていないところもいいわね。自分の経験とモラルを照らし合わせて考えさせられる、素晴らしい作品よ」
「誰もが自分の意見とそれぞれの立場での解釈を持てるところが、この映画の魅力ね。撮影中に自分の役について友達に話したら、正しいのは誰で間違っているのはこの人とか、関係の危機を乗り越えられるのかそれとも終わらせてしまうのかって、一晩中議論したくらい。人の数だけ、そしてその人の人生のタイミングによって、答えはさまざまだと思う。正しい答えなんてないからこそ、面白いテーマなの」
