どこまでも素朴なエマ・ワトソンの夢「いつかは母親になりたい」

エマ・ワトソンがイギリスのファッション&ライフスタイル誌『Company』最新号の表紙に登場し、同誌のインタビューで「将来は母親になりたい」と夢を語った。

10年の歳月をかけてこのほど完結した『ハリー・ポッター』シリーズ。あどけない少女だったエマが大人の女性に成長していることを喜んでいるファンは多いと思われるが、エマが成長しているのは、そのルックスだけではないようだ。エマは『Company』誌にこんなコメントをしている。

「母親になって、自分の家族と暮らす日が待ち遠しいわ」

夢を語るエマにとって、問題となっているのは、エマが有名なセレブであることに世の男性が恐れをなしていること。それに比べると、エマの理想の男性像はいたって素朴なのだ。「優しくて、行儀作法がしっかりしていて、知的で、自信があって、私を笑わせてくれる人がいいな」とエマは語っている。「誰も信じてくれないんだけど、私が見るのは、その人のルックスじゃなくて、性格なの」

エマはもともと、相手の外見を気にしないという発言で知られているが、どうやら本当に気にしていないようだ。そんなエマに素敵で素朴な恋愛相手が見つかるよう、陰ながら応援したい。
