125結婚生活の難しさを描いた映画『Newlyweds（新婚さん）』予告編

結婚生活が大変だということは、既婚者または結婚の経験がある人ならわかるだろう。結婚といっても人それぞれ事情は異なるわけだが、特に義理の家族が深くかかわってくることの苦労を、同じく既婚者のエドワード・バーンズ監督はわかっているようだ。
『サイドウォーク・オブ・ニューヨーク』では監督・脚本・出演を務め、そのほかにも『幸せになるための27のドレス』に出演するなど、監督兼俳優として活躍しているバーンズ監督。彼は最新作『Newlyweds（新婚さん）』でも監督と出演を務めている。
同作では、新婚のバジー（バーンズ）とケイティ（ケイトリン・フィッツジェラルド）夫婦のもとに、バジーの異父または異母妹がやって来ることで生じるトラブルが描かれている。映画は毎年春にニューヨークで開催されるトライベッカ映画祭でお披露目され、12月26日にはオンデマンドにてアメリカでリリースされる。日本での公開は未定だ。
この作品は物語だけでなく、わずか9,000ドル（約70万円）という超低予算で作られたことでも話題に。監督いわく、撮影現場となったアパートやレストラン、ジムなどは友人からタダで借りたとか。
