シュールな映像を生み出す「スリットスキャン」とは...【動画】

「スリットスキャン」という言葉に馴染みが無い人にとって、今回紹介する映像がその理解への一歩になるだろう。



フランス人の映像作家エイドリアン・M/クレア・Bが作成したこの映像はシュールで非常に面白い映像効果が生み出されている。映像内に登場している人物はまるで時空を超えて移動しているようだ。また音楽にはベイルートが起用されており、この映像を更に奇妙なものへ仕立て上げている。

このスリットスキャンは、コンピュータ・アニメーションの父と言われるジョン・ホイットニーが生み出した技術で、映画『2001年宇宙の旅』のラストあたりに登場するサイケデリックな映像や『スタートレック』などに使用されている。
