運転もできる! 愛くるしい水上スキー犬【動画】

水上スキーで疾走するその姿は、彼女を一夜にしてセレブの一員にさせた。英ミラー紙によると、ジャック・ラッセル・テリアのドゥマ(7歳)は、公園での散歩よりも水上でしぶきをあげてスポーツを楽しむことが好きなのだという。

冒険好きなドゥマは、お気に入りの黄色いライフジャケットと帽子、ゴーグルを身につけて、飼い主クリフ・ボーデ氏のモーターボードが引くウェイクボードでジャンプすることを何よりも楽しんでいるようだ。

ただかわいいポーズを決めているだけではなく、ドゥマはスピードボートを自分で運転することもできるため、出演したバンクーバー・インターナショナル・ボートショーではスター的存在に。

ボーデ氏は「ドゥマがボートに乗る時はいつも、私の膝の上を飛び回って、ハンドルをしっかりつかんでいるよ」と<グローバルBC>TVに語る。

「運転するドゥマが大きな注目を集めたので、他に何ができるのか考えてみたんだ。だから、実は水上スキーは2番目に出来るようになった技なんだよ。それにハンドルの前でも私が手足を固定しているわけではないんだ。ドゥマ自身がしっかりハンドルを掴める、優れたバランス感覚を持っているのさ」

さらに「ドゥマは、パワフルなRCボートの後ろでウェイクボードに乗ることができて、その速さは時速32キロ程になる」とのことだ。

昨年には、動物がどれだけ賢いかを披露するため「3匹の犬に車の運転を教える」という動物のためのチャリティーイベントがニュージーランドで開かれている。そして、ドゥマ以前には"水上スキーが出来るリス"がいたことも忘れないでおきたい...。
