ゴスペラーズ、初のカバーアルバムの収録楽曲＆ジャケット写真を公開

9月25日（水）に発売される、ゴスペラーズ初のカバーアルバム『ハモ騒動 ～The Gospellers Covers～』の収録楽曲とジャケット写真が発表された。

先行シングルであるスピッツ「ロビンソン」とThe Four Seasons「太陽の5人」の他、松任谷由美「やさしさに包まれたなら」、米米CLUB「TIME STOP」、これまでのライブでも披露されてきた美空ひばり「真赤な太陽」など、時代やジャンルをまたいで様々な邦楽をカバー。「夢伝説」ではオリジナル曲を歌うスターダスト☆レビューとコラボレーションをしている。
洋楽では、Bruno Marsの「Just The Way You Are」など最近のヒット曲から、ソウルの名曲The O'jaysの「Love Train」、カップリング収録もされ現在CMでもOA中の「Somone To Watch Over Me」も収録。その他、日本でレコーディングされたアカペラ曲としては最初期の楽曲、コロムビア・アイキー・コルテット「猫騒動」もカバー。ゴスペラーズならではの選曲も楽しめる作品になっている。

様々な時代の様々な楽曲を、オリジナルのスタイルで着こなし、カバーした今回のアルバム。そのジャケット写真には、"着替え"をコンセプトに撮影されたメンバーの姿が登場しており、ブックレット内には、様々な衣装に着替えたメンバーのインパクト大の写真が収録されている。なお、初回生産限定盤、通常盤では、ブックレットに収録されている写真がそれぞれ異なるとのことだ。

また、初回生産限定盤の特典DVDには「ロビンソン」のMVやメイキング映像、そして「猫騒動」のスペシャル動画も収録。ファン垂涎の内容になっている。

また、本日より開催されるソウルのイベント「SOUL POWER SUMMIT 2013」にも出演するゴスペラーズ。8月31日（土）にはフジテレビ「MUSIC FAIR」に、9月27日（金）にはフジテレビ「僕らの音楽」にそれぞれ出演が決定している。
